Betsy

Here's Betsy! This friendly 3 year old Lab mix (48 lbs) is ready to zoomie into your heart! A few of Betsy's favorite things are playing chase with other dogs, splashing in her baby pool, and giving kisses. She's being fostered on a farm with 2 other dogs (a Pit/Basset rescue "Apollo", & the owner's Rat Terrier). She's friendly with people of all ages, including kids, and great with cats. Her energy level is medium & she could make a good walking/running partner. Betsy gets very excited for car trips, especially to visit the neighbor's dogs. When she was first rescued, she was good with bigger dogs, but would react to some smaller dogs with high-pitched barking & leash pulling -- it seemed like she wanted to "boss" these dogs. She's made great strides in 2 1/2 months. She goes on regular walks with other dogs and is much better when meeting new dogs. She'd enjoy a doggie playmate to play chase, but could also be an only dog. Betsy wants to please her foster mom but isn't protective, and is fairly easy to train (just learned to "shake hands"!) If left alone, she'll probably bark, so may not do well in an apartment. Indoors, Betsy likes to lay by your feet, and sleeps in a crate or playpen. (The pen is 3 feet tall & she hasn't tried to jump it.)  Betsy is crate, leash, and potty trained, as well as spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. ADOPTION FEE: $150.00 PLUS TAX ($161.25)
